Women in Islam - Prophetic Verses About Women in islam

Women in islam

Islam is a religion that gives due consideration to women.  The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) spoke of the love and respect that should be shown to women.  The reality is that women in Islam are very safe in family life.  Islam considers it disgraceful to treat women in Islam in an indecent manner.

What does Allah say about the way women should be treated?

Allah says in the Holy Qur'an: "Treat them (women) well."  (04 Nisa'a 19) In the Holy Qur'an, Allah tells men to treat women well.  Allah forbids treating them badly and persecuting them.

There are many people around us who claim that women are slaves of men according to the Islamic view.  There is a chapter in the Qur'an in the name of women itself, in which Allah asks the male community to treat women well.

If a man has two wives, how should he treat them?

Allah teaches us: Again Allah (swt) says: “Even if you love yourself, there is no justice between your wives.  However, do not completely deviate from any of them.  Doing so will leave you bound to the other.  And if you treat them well and guard (against discrimination),  then indeed, Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.  ”(4 Nisa 129)

If a man has more than 2 wives, it does not mean that he should love all of them equally, it is natural for him to feel special love for any one of them.  But Islam does not allow a man to be interested only in that woman.  Doing so would be tantamount to abandoning her.  Since she is his wife, she cannot remarry.  (Islam gives a man the right to divorce her if she maintains such a position).  It is natural for a husband to feel more in love with someone, but it is also his duty to treat everyone with love.

In addition, the husband has to be fair about the wealth and food he gives his wife.  Islam does not allow a person to be given special benefits just because he thinks he has a special love for her.

Does a man have the right to be angry with a woman in Islam?

Report from Hazrat Abu Hurairah.  The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: " A believer (men) Do not be angry with the believer (women)." Even if he does not like one of her traits, he is likely to like many other things.  (Muslim) or other (may like).

What we can understand from this hadith is that Islam does not allow a Muslim man to be angry with his wife (the circumstances that allow it are mentioned in the previous articles).  If there is something in her that he does not like, he should forgive it.  She is likely to have many other good qualities.  Or he may like her in the future.

If he sees something bad in his wife

Islam also teaches a man how to deal with any wrongdoing on the part of his wife.  The Prophet also teaches us what to do when it comes to punishing a woman in Islam.

Report from Hazrat Amrubin al-Ahwas: He heard the sermon of the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) on Hajj al-Wada'a.  After praising and glorifying Allah and admonishing the people, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Know that the things I advise you concerning women should be well done. They are your wives (only) . You have no other authority. Unless they do obvious indecency.

If they do, leave them in the bedroom and beat them without hurting them.  Then if they obey you, then do not take any other course against them.  Know, you have certain obligations to your wives and your wives to you.

It is incumbent upon them not to admit to your homes those whom you do not like, and not to tread on them on your bed, and not to commit adultery.  Satisfy them with food and clothing.  That is your responsibility.  ”(Thurmudi)

What are the duties of a Muslim man to his wife?

Report from Hazrat Muawiyyatubnu Haida.  He said: I said: O Messenger of Allah, what is our duty to our wives?  The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Feed them when you eat, and clothe them when you clothe them. This is your duty.Do not slap your wife in the face, disgrace her, or banish her except in the bedroom."

The above is a hadith about a Muslim man's duty to his wife.  In short, if he is eating, he should feed his wife as well.  If he wears clothes he should give her too.  This is the duty of a Muslim man to his wife.

What is the greatest blessing a man can have?

According to the Islamic view, the greatest blessing a man can have in his lifetime is a virtuous woman.

Report from Hazrat Abdullah to Ambinul A'Az.  The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "The whole world - some resources. The best of worldly resources is a virtuous woman."  (Muslim)

What did the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) say about those who beat their wives?

Report from Hazrat Iyasubnu Abdillah.  The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Do not beat the servants of Allaah.  (According to the Islamic view, all men and women are slaves of Allah)

Then one day Hazrat Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) came to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said: "Women have started quarreling with their husbands."  (Waytoislam.online) Then the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) allowed them to be beaten.  By that time, many women approached the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) complaining about their husbands.

The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: "Many women have come to Muhammad with complaints, but they are not the best of you."  (Abu Dawood)

Islam teaches that wives should not be beaten even if they see something wrong with them.  At the same time, Islam teaches exactly how to beat when the need arises.

In short, the Islamic view is that the best of believers are those who treat women well.  At the same time, Islam teaches exactly how to deal with the situation in which punishment must be meted out.  In many of these cases, the Prophet's position was to improve family relations.  The woman in Islam is never excluded, but perhaps the one who receives more blessings than men.
